Hi, my name is Tim and I'd like to take a few moments to explain a little about how I
got started, the services we offer and why we do what we do.
I was born in a suburb of Memphis, TN named Whitehaven in 1959. The community took its name from a Colonel Francis White, who was an early settler and was influential in getting a rail line to run through what was first called White's Station, and later re-named to Whitehaven.
In 1966 we moved into an apartment complex named Oak Acres in Whitehaven. It was a beautiful place to live with lots of kids, two swimming pools and really huge, beautiful oak trees. What was really interesting about this place was that it was located across the street from Graceland and yes, as a youngster I actually saw Elvis many times. We'd be out on the playground playing football and all of a sudden someone would yell out hey, Elvis is out in his front yard and they've got the gates open. We'd then drop the football and run across the highway and there he was. It was Elvis sitting on his horse with about 15 fans around him and he was smiling and signing autographs and some were snapping pictures. Meanwhile, cars that were driving down the highway realized what was happening and began to pull over for a chance to see Elvis. Then about 5 minutes later there were about 60 people there and his body guards would shut the gates and Elvis wished everyone a great day. He then rode off back towards the house and then over to the stable.
I only mention this because I feel I might as well start at the beginning? And it really was pretty interesting living across the street from Elvis even though I was more into the music of the Beatles at the time. Anyway, here's a link talking about some of the times when he would be out front riding his horse. https://www.sunrecords.com/news/graceland-stable-opens-for-tours
In 1982 I went to work for a company called Auto Shack that was headquartered in Memphis. They later changed their name to Auto Zone and become the world's #1 auto parts chain. Then in 1993 I left Auto Zone and went to work as Customer Relations and Human Resource Director for a local car dealership named Dobbs Mazda, Buick and Mitsubishi. It was about 1994 that I kept hearing on the news something about this new thing that was going to be coming out soon called The Information Super Highway. What in the world was that going to be I thought. Sounded pretty interesting though.
To make a long story short, I tried to learn as much as I could about this new Internet thing and began building and designing websites for small businesses in the late 90's. Nothing fancy, it's just at that time I realized this Internet thing was really catching on. It made me think and realize that the way businesses advertise and market their products and/or services would be changing dramatically in the years ahead. Not only that, I reasoned that the way regular people shop and buy things would also be changing and boy was I right. I think Bill Gates summed it up best when he said "If your business is not on the Internet, then your business will be out of business". That was sure a really big statement but what's so amazing is, that statement has turned out to be 100% true.
In late 2007 in the midst of the financial crisis I decided to get out of the car business because the banks and lenders got tight as a drum, and for the most part they stopped lending money to many people with good credit who wanted to buy a car. It was a terrible time and I knew I had to find something that paid well and something I genuinely enjoyed. Then after a lot of research and learning from my mistakes, I discovered a really amazing company that appeared to have a really great affiliate program. It started out as an online bookstore and later expanded into selling all kinds of different products. The name that company called itself was Amazon.com and I was really impressed by the fact that they allowed me to create simple websites and they paid me real cash commissions each time I sold anything from one of my websites.
It wasn't too long after that when I discovered that I had people I knew, and even people I didn't know wanting to know only one thing. Could I build them a website similar to the ones I'd built for myself? At first I thought why on Earth would I want to do that. I'd just be creating more competition for myself and for my own websites. Then it dawned on me when I realized that no matter how many Amazon products I sold, I wasn't even scratching the tip of the iceberg. I then realized that there were tens of millions of people here in the US alone that shopped online, and it would take me a thousand lifetimes to reach just 1% of all those online shoppers. It was on that very day back in March of 2008 after much thought and consideration that I went online and purchased the domain name of GetAnOnlineStore.com - It was going to be a website that would sell and showcase different kinds of niche websites to people who had many different interests and hobbies. If someone had a particular interest, I was going to build them a website focused on that particular interest. These websites would in turn pay the owner each time they made a sale, just as I had been doing and I would charge just 1 flat fee to build their website. This allowed the new owners to keep every penny of every dollar they earned from advertising and selling all the Amazon products.
Now here we are 12 years and over 4,000 websites later. I now have a team of 5 very talented people including my wife Tamara who helps me help others to get started with their very own online business. Some people call them an online store and some people call them an online business, and some people just call them a website. My point is this, it really doesn't matter what you call them because the end result is the same. That's a real online business store for regular people to have an opportunity to make a nice extra income each month through the sales they generate.
The service we offer is a really simple concept. We build and design websites (online business stores) for regular people (anyone) who aren't familiar with or don't exactly know how to build a fully functional eCommerce Affiliate Website for themselves. It's that simple, and that's always been our mission from day one. We are not employees of Amazon the company, or Amazon.com the website or any of its subsidiaries. We are a team of dedicated, independent web developers who use the Amazon affiliate program to help others earn real cash commissions from the sales they generate from their own online business store. We feel their affiliate program is the very best and second to none and that's why we use them. Not only that, but they are the World's #1 Online Retailer, and have been for several years now.
A few really good improvements we've made over the last 18 months or so is we now build each site to link to over 200 million items, (virtually 98% of all products for sale on Amazon) rather than just one particular niche category. The way we do it these days is if someone has a particular niche (hobby, category or interest) they're interested in, we focus on that niche at the top of the page in the photo header. We try to settle on a photo that reflects that niche in the very best way possible. We then place an affiliate link (containing the Unique Affiliate ID of the website owner) to all of those niche products located on the main Amazon platform. Another change we implemented is we now pay our website owners $200 cash commissions each time they refer someone to GetAnOnlineStore.com from their own website or business cards, or through simply telling others by word of mouth. Best part is, we pay those $200 cash commissions (via Paypal) the very same day the website owner makes the sale. We make it a required field on our order form so we know exactly where (which of our website owners) to send each $200 commission.
In conclusion, we sincerely thank you for taking your time to visit our site. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us anytime. We can usually respond within an hour or two. Or if we need to give you a call to answer any questions, let us know and we'll give you a call at a time that's convenient for you. Our Only Goal is Service That Will Exceed Your Expectations.
Kind Regards,
